Can I bring a drone as carry-on? I’m too nervous to let it out of my sight. Are there any rules against that?
Yes. You can bring it in your carry-on or personal item. If you check the drone, keep the batteries in your carry-on.
Yes and No. If your destination allows drones, then yes! I’ve flown with mine many times in a carry-on. Regulations say spare batteries should be in fire-proof cases, but I’ve never been checked for this. If the place you’re going doesn’t allow drones, it might be taken away. I almost brought mine on a trip, but found out last minute that drones were banned there without special permission. Always check before you go!
@Max
Exactly. It all depends on where you’re headed. Some places will take them unless you have prior approval.
@Max
True.
A quick Google search would answer that.
I’ve flown with mine a few times. Keep it in your carry-on and take it out at security like a laptop.
Depends on the country or state you’re visiting. To be safe, get the MSDS from DJI in case they ask about it.
I had mine in a case, no issues! Just make sure the batteries aren’t inside the drone.

It’s fine if the batteries are inside, at least for U.S. travel.
