Thanks so much for that detailed reply — really helpful! I’ll mostly be off-road, so your point makes total sense. I saw a tight hard case made just for the DJI Neo that fits nicely in the tank bag, which seems like a good balance between protection and access. Your experience really helped me think it through, thanks again!
It depends on what kind of shots you want. The Neo is great for its size and durability, but only has a 1-axis gimbal and the camera isn’t amazing. It fits in a coat pocket though. The Mini series has better image quality and more stable video but you won’t get as close to the action as with the Neo. Whatever you pick, get DJI Care so you don’t stress about flyaways or mistakes.
