I got a new Mini 4 Pro last week and took it out to an old ghost town to fly around. While filming, I noticed it kept losing tracking when I used QuickShot mode. This was the worst case, but I saw it happen a few times. You can clearly see the miner was selected on the screen, then the drone just drifts off. I had a similar issue with another object too. I can share more clips if it helps.

You can see the miner selected on the remote before just moving out of frame. Any idea what’s going on? Similar issue with a different object.

Sounds like it was pretty windy out. I’ve never really used QuickShots myself—I prefer to fly manually—but you might want to try using Spotlight mode instead. Just highlight your subject, then manually fly around it with the right stick. The drone will keep the subject locked in, so it might work better in situations like this.

Yeah, it was definitely windy, but kind of off and on. The weird part is that I didn’t get any high wind warning on the controller for this shot. Some QuickShots worked fine, others lost the subject partway through. I also gave MasterShots a shot, and that got weird too. I think you’re right though—I just need more time learning how to control it manually. Appreciate the tip!
You won’t always see a high wind warning, even if it’s gusty. My Mini 4 Pro almost tilted sideways from wind once and it didn’t alert me at all.
Honestly, MasterShots and stuff can be cool, but nothing beats just getting hands-on time flying and learning how it all responds.
