Any non-Chinese drones out there? What are my options?

It seems like all the non-Chinese drone companies have moved to making only high-end drones, nothing for regular folks anymore.

So I’m wondering:

  1. Are there any drones made in the USA or an allied country that are still affordable for the average person?

  2. If not actually made in the USA, then at least made for a US or allied-owned company?

Thanks!

Edit: Why the downvotes? It’s an honest question. Anyone care to explain?

I haven’t seen anything affordable that would work for small businesses either. I’m keeping an eye on this too.

You won’t find a US-made drone with the same features as the ones from Asia at a similar price. DJI is the gold standard when it comes to different models and pricing. No competition.

Not sure I trust either China or the US with my data. Both have their issues with spying. I’m sticking with DJI.

The US has tried to mess with 10 countries since the 60s. Who’s more trustworthy here?

Maybe the one without a Social Credit System?

@Marlow
China doesn’t actually have a social credit system. You’re just buying into propaganda.

Okay, Pooh.

@jude
Show me real evidence from primary sources that proves China has a ‘social credit system.’ Even the link you shared just talks about their plans to build a financial credit system, which is pretty much what every Western country has too. Did you even read it?

Here’s a peer-reviewed paper from a Ph.D. student.

@Valentine
They talked about launching one back in 2014/2015 but then got pushback and didn’t go through with it. Did you actually read what you linked? There’s no nationwide system in place, lol. Smartest American, right?

@Luca
Yeah, I read it. It mentions different systems in different regions. Not one unified system, but variations do exist. Did you actually read it though?

@Valentine
Nowhere does it say that paper is peer-reviewed, lol. It’s just written for a newsletter.

Stop defending them, tankie.

@Valentine
I went through it, and it doesn’t back up the claims with primary sources. It linked one Chinese website, which I checked out, and none of the info matched what they claim. They talk about ‘every city having a social credit website’ but can’t show even one?

@Rory
It’s just one paper. There are tons more on sites like scholar.google.com. This one is supposed to be peer-reviewed according to UCSD’s Sociology Department.

Feels like you’re just trolling at this point.

@Valentine
I think people downvoting you just don’t like what you’re saying. It’s a real thing, and people hate to hear the truth.

Enough with the propaganda, tankie.

Not sure why people are downvoting you. Is the truth that hard to handle?

Yeah, the list of coups the US and CIA have been involved in is pretty long. Sure, the exact role they played in each one is debatable, but it’s no secret they use coups as a tool in foreign policy.
