Anyone else having trouble with DJI orders?

I ordered a refurbished DJI Mini 4 Pro on 01/31, expecting it to ship by 02/04. By 02/08, it still hadn’t shipped. I contacted DJI, and a day later, they called me to say the ship date would be 02/23, but that was just an estimate. I told them to cancel my order because this was getting ridiculous.

DJI is such a big company, how do they not have stock for something they already sold? They can’t just make a refurbished model from scratch, it should have been ready! But they take your money instantly, and when you cancel, they take 10-14 days to refund you. Looks like DJI got an interest-free loan from me.

I’ve bought two DJI drones from Best Buy without any issues, but unfortunately, they’ve been out of stock for months, so I tried ordering directly from DJI. Maybe this is just a problem with refurbished models, but I’m not taking that risk with a new one either. Lesson learned, never again.

Anyone know where I can get a DJI Mini 4 Pro? Or any idea why Best Buy doesn’t have it in stock?

I didn’t ‘get it.’ It was in stock when I bought it, but apparently, it wasn’t really… :grimacing: They kept saying ‘due to high demand,’ so if it ever gets in stock again, you probably won’t see it for a long time.

It was in stock from Jan 1–25, I think.

IMO, at least you have a guaranteed order. It’s worth saving 200 bucks and waiting a bit. The new tariffs might be affecting DJI too, so they’re probably sorting things out.

I had some purchases of Chinese goods held up for their new year from the end of January until Feb. 12th. That might have been the real issue here, more likely than a complete customer service failure.

Personally, I’ve always had great experiences with DJI for purchases and repairs. So your experience, while unfortunate, is probably not the norm.

Have you checked any Canadian sellers for the M4P? The exchange rate is in your favor.

I’ve repaired with DJI before, no issues. I agree it was probably not a customer service failure, and I told them it wasn’t their fault. But DJI is a huge company, they should’ve emailed me about the delay instead of me having to call to find out where my drone is.

I think they’re having a huge delay with shipping refurbished Mini 4 Pros.

I ordered one with the RC2 in Europe in the middle of last month with an estimated ship date of Jan 27, but it still hasn’t shipped.

I contacted customer service three times and each time they said they weren’t sure about the delay but would look into it and speed things up.

They eventually sent me an email saying the product is out of stock and they weren’t sure when it would be available again. They gave me the option to cancel or wait, but didn’t say how long it would take.

Last week I tried to buy the Air 3S. I added it to my cart with a few other things, and everything seemed fine. But when I tried to finalize the order, I got a message saying the items were out of stock. It’s been ages since I’ve had a modern e-commerce site let me get that far before telling me the item can’t be bought.

It took almost a month for DJI to ship my Action 5 Pro FOV lens. I signed up for notifications late last year, got the email on Jan 14 saying it was in stock, and ordered right away. On Jan 15, I got an email saying there was a delay, then a call a few days later saying it wouldn’t ship until Jan 31. It didn’t ship until Feb 7 and arrived on Feb 10.

When companies wonder why I buy from Amazon instead of directly from them, this is why.

It’s the customs issues, basically messing them up.

Don’t order from DJI directly if you’re in the US. Mine sat in customs for 6 weeks. Had to cancel and buy from a store in NY. Just make sure the store actually has it in stock. Some stores will sell it to you, and then you’ll find out it’s backordered, and you’re just waiting for customs clearance again. Also, beware! My order came with a free water bottle, so not only did it have to clear customs, but it had to be cleared by the FDA too.
