I just bought a Mavic Pro Flymore kit for £160. It was listed as not working, but after an hour playing with the developer menu on DJI Assistant and swapping in a fresh battery, it was back in the air! Super happy with this. Now it’s flying alongside my Neo and my repaired Spark. Old tech can still be amazing.
So it just needed a new battery?

Pretty much! I also had to recalibrate the sensors. Honestly, I was relieved it wasn’t like the Spark, which needed new ESCs and motors.

That’s awesome! It’s crazy how many people just give up on fixing things.
@Zinn
Totally. My wife once wanted to throw out her vacuum because it stopped working. I spent $20 on a belt and filters, and it’s been good as new ever since.
@Zinn
A lot of these are probably Amazon returns from people who don’t have the time or skills to check them.
@Zinn
True, but it works out for those of us who enjoy tinkering!
Batteries cost a fortune. I have a Mini 2, but all my batteries died. I ended up buying a new Air 3 combo instead of replacing them.

Yeah, batteries are pricey. At least this one should keep flying for a few more years.

How did your batteries die? Did you not charge them often? I’m hunting for a Mini 2 battery and was shocked they’re around £50.
@Olen
Be careful about leaving them uncharged for long periods. I’ve lost two drones that way and won’t be buying DJI products again.
Great find!
Nice one!
Well done, mate!
I’ve got the same drone. Where did you get new batteries from?

I found a third-party battery on Amazon. It’s not DJI, but it works well enough. I got about 20 minutes of flight time, even in strong winds.
@Emory
Thanks for the tip. One of my original batteries just died, so I might give that a try.
I’ve had my Mavic Pro since 2016. I love it and haven’t felt the need to upgrade. It’ll be a sad day if DJI ever disables it.

I didn’t do much research before buying it. I just saw it was cheap and could shoot D-log. After flying it today, the footage is great and works perfectly for my editing skills.
@Emory
Exactly how I feel. It’s served me well for years, and I’m just a hobbyist. Enjoy flying it!
