Anyone else skip auto track and just go manual for shots like this?

I usually don’t bother with auto track when doing these kinds of shots. I always go manual, just feels more natural and gives me better control. Curious how many of you do the same with the Air 3S?

That’s a really clean shot.

When I track manually, there’s a few tiny jitters, but overall it’s smooth and usable — your video reminds me of that. Auto tracking looks perfect at first, but the moment the subject moves too fast or the angle shifts, it freaks out and makes harsh adjustments that ruin the clip. So I mostly do it by hand unless I’m filming myself, then I’ll let auto take over.

Same here with my Mavic 4 Pro.

I almost never use auto. Manual always looks better unless I’m in the frame myself, which is rare anyway.

I honestly haven’t used most of the auto stuff. Tried it once when I first got the drone, but since then I’ve done everything manually. It’s just faster and easier for me. The only auto thing I’ll use sometimes is spotlight mode if I’m outside flying with my kids — that way I can keep an eye on them and the drone at the same time.

Manual tracking is the way I go. Back when I had the Phantom 4, it took a lot of trial and error to get the motion smooth, but once you learn it, it feels really good. The result just looks so much better to me.

Auto track just doesn’t do it for me. It always makes small mistakes and tries to fix them in a really obvious way. Unless I’m filming myself, I’m using the sticks every time.

All manual here too.
