Took the Agras T40 for its first flight today. Upgraded from the T30 and loving the smoother handling, better capacity, and smarter spraying system. Anyone else flying one of these? Got any tips for me?
Better keep it away from New Jersey.

Funny you say that! A retired firefighter in New Jersey actually shot down a Walmart delivery drone, thinking it was spying on him. People are wild.

I think you should definitely try it there. People are overreacting.

Haha, you beat me to the joke!

Same here. Guess I’m late by hours.

Stuff like this makes me nervous about flying my drone anywhere.

Living in New Jersey right now with all this drone hysteria is no fun. My neighbors are so paranoid; they’ve even posted on our local Facebook page saying they’d shoot down drones flying too close. I was planning to get a drone soon, but I think I’ll wait until things calm down.
‘Felt cute, might take over New Jersey skies later.’
Just don’t get too close to anyone armed with a spear.
Do you also use an M3M for mapping before spraying?

Nope, I just wing it and hope for the best.

That works if the terrain is flat. I map vineyards with a T30 to make sure everything’s precise. Terrain following is a must.
@Eli
That’s awesome! I mainly stick to flat fields like corn, cotton, and hay. I can see how vineyards would need extra planning.

Yeah, vineyards can be nerve-wracking, especially on steep hills. Trusting the mapping system is key. I’ve had some close calls with tree branches, but it’s worth it.
@Eli
By operators, you mean people like us, right?

I’d love a T30 or T40 for vineyards. Do they really make a big difference?

Absolutely! They’re way more accurate and save time compared to tractors. Less drift too. Here in Germany, we’re only allowed to use drones for vineyards on steep hills, though.
I’d love to try a T50, but it’s not authorized for use here in Germany yet. Sticking with my T30 for now.
Can you fly it at night and post a blurry photo? That’d be awesome.
