Has anyone here used a battery that isn’t from DJI with a Mavic Pro? I’m trying to get an original one off Facebook Marketplace, but all I’m seeing are third-party ones. I’ve noticed some on Amazon too, just wondering if they’re okay or risky.
This one’s pretty straightforward… don’t use third-party batteries in a drone.
They usually don’t give the power they claim, can randomly shut off or even catch fire, and sometimes they don’t have proper safety features. They might be heavier too, which messes with the drone’s balance. Plus, they won’t work with firmware updates, so they can stop working after an update.
Nope. Not a good idea.
Drones don’t play nice with off-brand stuff — whether it’s batteries or even propellers.
