Are all < 250g drones easily swept away by the wind?
Or do you need heavier drones > 250g with heavier motors to be able to stand firm against windy days?

It depends on the wind speed. DJI lists the wind speed resistance in the specs.
What’s your definition of windy days? 20, 30, 100 mph?

I don’t know. I don’t walk around with a wind machine lol

I’d be surprised if a lot of people do, but there are apps that tell you!

Lmao, that reply sent me. Depends on how windy it is and how high you go. I’ve had no issues with a sub-250, but some days my big 650+ gets rattled.

If you’re a drone pilot and can’t figure out the wind speed, please find another hobby.

You’re on a smart device; try searching ‘is there an app that tells me current wind speed in my area.’ Or take up skydiving and just wing it.

Nah, my DJI Mini 2 SE handles surprisingly high winds.
It depends on what you consider heavy wind. It was breezy today in coastal southern California and my Mini 4 Pro did just fine. But compared to my Air 3S, the Mini fights the wind a lot more.

What do you mean by ‘quite breezy’?
The only issue I’ve had in windy conditions is landing on my landing pad. Otherwise, it’s been fine if I land anywhere. (DJI Mini 4 Pro)
Yes, and they’ll spend their battery trying to make progress in a headwind and keep stable in hover.
The Mini 4 Pro has been impressive in strong winds, but it doesn’t mean it won’t be blown away. Fly safely and close, and be prepared to land when necessary.
Wind resistance of DJI Mini 4 Pro is 10.7 m/s (23.94 mph). I bought a cheap wind meter to check before takeoff. I also take a picture for insurance reasons if lost to the wind.
It depends how strong the wind is. I’ve had no issues with my Mini 3 Pro. I love it way more than my original Mavic Pro.
Anything can be swept by wind, but sub-250g drones feel especially wobbly in gusts. Larger props and heavier weights are better, and tuning can make a difference.
Swept away? Not really (unless it’s obviously too windy to fly). But you won’t get steady videos; flying becomes a lot more difficult.
Max wind resistance (specs):
Mini 4 Pro: 10.7 m/s
Air 3S: 12 m/s
Inspire 3: 14 m/s
As you can see, larger drones handle wind better, but it’s often best to fly when the weather is good. Gusts can lead to shaky videos on virtually any consumer drone.
