Are there any drones you can fly with one hand?

I’ve been wanting to buy my dad a drone for ages, but he has limited use of his right arm, so most models are tricky for him to operate. I’d love to find a drone that he could fly with one hand.

He’s always been into photography, and now his favorite hobby is taking long walks with his dogs. I think he’d really enjoy capturing nature shots on his walks if he had a drone he could manage with one hand.

Any suggestions for drones that can be flown with just one hand? Thanks in advance!

You should look at the DJI Avata 2—it can be flown with a one-handed controller.

Yeah, it’s also pretty beginner-friendly.

Totally agree. I have the Avata 1, and it’s great with one hand. I heard the Avata 2 has even better controls.

Most DJI drones can actually be flown with their motion controller. I think it’s been an option since the Mini 3.

DJI Avata. Super easy to control, especially with one hand.

You might want to look at the DJI Neo. You don’t really need more than one hand to operate it, and you don’t even need a phone! I think you could also try using phone controls with the Neo, but that would take some hand-eye coordination.

Check out the DJI RC Motion 3 controller. It’s a single-hand controller that works with the DJI Avata 2, DJI Mini 4 Pro, and DJI Air 3.

Both the DJI Avatas and DJI FPV drones can be flown one-handed. You can use a similar controller for the DJI Neo too, but you’ll need goggles, which are pricey.

The DJI Avata 2 paired with the motion controller and Goggles 3 with head-tracking is a solid setup for one-handed flying.

The DJI Neo is the way to go. It’s affordable, easy to use, and takes decent photos in daylight. Plus, you can control it with just a smartphone, so no need for a remote. Keep it simple with the basic package.

Haha, I was gonna suggest that too :joy::fire::fire:

The DJI Air 3 and Mini 4 can both be used with one hand. You just need the motion controller or RC, and they’ll hover when you let go of the stick. If he can bring something to land and take off on, he should be able to handle it one-handed.

If you’re looking for one-handed control, check out the DJI Goggles Integra Motion Combo—it works with the Mini 4 Pro and Avata 2: DJI Goggles Integra Motion Combo

Or the Goggles 3 with Motion Controller 3, compatible with the Avata 2, Neo, and Mini 4 Pro: DJI Goggles 3

I have the Neo and Mini 4 Pro, so I’m considering getting the Goggles 3 myself.

Haha, the title made me think of something else entirely!
