I’m not looking to go all out on an expensive drone yet unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I want something practical and reliable for filming.
Mini 2 SE.
What’s the price, and where would you recommend buying it?

@Zuri
Costco offers a package with an extra battery, case, and some extras. Just over $300, I think.

Are you after a toy or proper camera gear? The Ascend is a toy – it’s made clear in the marketing.
If you just want something to toss around, it’s fine, but if you’re serious, start at $300 minimum.
Having trouble connecting this to the remote… connects to Wi-Fi, but the remote just won’t link.
Think of it like an Apple Watch vs a $40 knockoff. It may give you the idea of what a drone should do, but it’s nowhere near in quality.
It’ll fly and stream video, but don’t expect much else.
drones are a fun hobby! enjoy
I’m testing the cheap drone from Costco now, and it’s honestly terrible. Poor video quality, hard to fly, and it can’t handle any wind. Returning it.
Is this a serious question?

Not helpful. I came here for guidance since I know little about drones.
If you can’t add anything useful, please move on.

Come on, just comparing the prices of a Dji vs Ascend should tell you enough.
@Oak
So by that logic, if this was $6000, it’d be better than a starter Dji?
I’m here to get feedback so I can make a reasonable choice. If you have nothing to add, move along.

I’m trying to help, but I guess some folks don’t want advice.

Alright, didn’t mean to offend. I’ll keep it civil.

Rule 13: Keep it respectful.
Let’s keep things civil here.

Sounds like an uninformed assumption to me.

Some people really don’t need drones. More rules get added because of these toy fliers.

So, only you deserve to fly a drone?
How did you start in this? Were you born knowing everything about it, or did you start somewhere too?
