Best bang for the buck drone?

Not really looking for the cheapest drone out there, just curious—what do you guys think is the best value drone from DJI?

That kinda depends on what you want to do with it.

Exactly! We need more context here.

I just want to fly it and take cool photos! What else is there to do with a drone? :man_shrugging::rofl:

Edit: Clearly not everyone picked up on the sarcasm.

There’s FPV and freestyle tricks, then video stuff like cinematography which has a ton of subcategories. Drones can be used for mapping, measuring, thermal imaging, farming, rescue missions, and even military. Tons of possibilities.

Been flying drones for about a year and I’ve only taken one photo so far—so yeah, there’s definitely more to drones than just pictures.

Right now I’d say either the Mini 4K or the Mini 3. The Flip is also an option, but honestly, having a camera that flies covers like 80% of the fun. If you can grab the RC with a screen, even better. These entry-level drones are great for travel and even some light professional stuff (with a RID module).

Mini 4K is a solid deal. If you want more features, look into the Mini 3 Pro.

I grabbed the Mini 3 Fly More Combo with the RC for €489 and I think it’s a great deal for what you get.

Mavic 4 Pro.

Check out the Flylens 85. You can get one without a camera for around 200 bucks.

Buying the Mavic 3 Pro was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s amazing for both pics and video. The three cameras give you a lot of creative freedom.

Honestly, the Air 3S is probably the best bang for your buck. But like others said, it depends on what you’ll be using it for—and the drone laws where you fly. A great drone isn’t much use if you can’t actually use it.

Also think about what you’ll be doing with your photos and videos. Are you editing RAW and LOG files? Printing? Or just sharing on socials? Most of the cost in higher-end drones comes from the image sensor, so if you’re not gonna use that to the fullest, a cheaper model might be better for you.
