Hey everyone,
I’m Part 107 certified and looking to get new insurance for my drones, including liability coverage. Anyone have recommendations for reliable and affordable options?

I have $1500 no-deductible, no-fault insurance from State Farm for $44 a year. You don’t even need to bundle it with other insurance—you can get a standalone policy. If your drone gets damaged, even if it’s your fault, just send it in for repair, provide the quote to State Farm, and they’ll send a check in a day or so.
@Casey
How did you get that set up? Did you talk to an agent? And what kind of drone did you cover?

Yeah, I called an agent, and it was pretty straightforward. I just emailed them the invoice for my drone. I have two Phantom 4 Pro v2s insured at $1500 each, and it cost $88 total for the year.
@Casey
That’s awesome, thanks for sharing!

Is this only available in the US? I’m in the UK and looking for similar options.
State Farm and AMA are good options.
I use SkyWatch for my drone insurance.

Could you share more details? Would you recommend it, and what’s the price like for your drone?
I’m with SkyWatch too, for both liability and hull insurance.

What drones do you have insured, and what’s your premium?
I use Coverdrone, based in Italy.
I’ve heard good things about Geico for drone insurance.
Are you asking about insurance for the drone itself, liability in case of an accident, or business-related coverage?

I’m looking for both—insurance for the drone and liability coverage, whether I’m flying for work or just practicing. I’ve heard there are per-day options for jobs too, so I might check out SkyWatch since they seem to offer a full range. Sorry for the delay, I haven’t been flying much or checking the forum.
You’ll need to dig into the details for business insurance. Some policies are really specific about what activities they cover and where. Same goes for equipment coverage—some won’t cover drones if they’re used for work.
SkyWatch is a solid choice! They have good rates and customer support.

Just a heads-up, though—they have a clause about not covering events with large crowds. That could be a dealbreaker if you’re doing professional gigs.
