Best Part 107 Practice and Study Guide?

Looking for the best Part 107 practice and study guide. Has anyone used Pilot Institute or any other resources?

I wrote a detailed guide on how I passed the Part 107 test, and it got a lot of positive feedback. Instead of formatting and linking it every time, I put it on my portfolio website.

Follow the FAA guide along with a solid YouTube video. There are some great ones out there.

I used Pilot Institute and passed with a 93. I spent several hours a day for about a week going through the course. You could study on your own, but you’d need to be disciplined. Without Pilot Institute’s structured lessons, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. I also felt like I actually learned the material instead of just memorizing answers.

I second Pilot Institute. It’s the most comprehensive course I’ve found. If you’re looking for a free option, Mr. Migs on YouTube is a good alternative.

There’s also the Part 107 app. It’s a handy study guide you can access anytime, and you can pay for it weekly—it’s about $6.

Honestly, there isn’t a single best option. They all provide the same information. The best choice depends on your learning style.

Prepware Remote Pilot is a good option.

You can get it from the app store.

I studied by watching this video multiple times, reviewing practice questions, and reading the FAA handbook. Studied for a few weeks, a couple of hours every other day, so I could retain everything.

No worries!

Pilot Institute is very thorough.

Pilot Institute.

IMO, Pilot Institute is the best option. If you follow their material, you’ll pass easily. Worst case, you get your money back, but almost everyone passes.

Another advantage is that they always keep their course up to date, unlike some other resources.

I created a GPT model with ChatGPT and fed it the three FAA PDF guides. Then, I used it to ask questions and generate practice tests.

If you understand how to read aeronautical charts, you can figure out most of the test questions using the provided keys and reference materials.

Also, keep in mind that not all tests are the same. When my dad and I took the exam, we had at least six completely different questions.
