Best place to sell a drone?

I have a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom that I bought a few years ago, but I haven’t flown it in almost a year. The area where I live has an international airport and a military base nearby, which makes flying it difficult. Taking it on vacation has also been a hassle since many places don’t allow drones. What’s the best place to list it for sale?

I don’t know of any website specifically for secondhand drones, so your best bet is probably Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace.

Just keep in mind that the Mavic 2 Zoom is a bit older now, so don’t expect to get top dollar for it.

@Mica
I checked Craigslist, Facebook, and eBay and saw a few listings. Wasn’t sure if there’s a site dedicated to buying and selling drones, like how some forums have classifieds.

I might be interested in buying it. DM me if you’re selling.

I have a Mavic 2 Pro that I’ve barely flown, maybe five times total.

What’s your asking price? I have a Mavic 2 Zoom but always liked the Pro model more.

Sent you a message.

eBay is probably the safest option, especially if you’re shipping it.

Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist work too, but expect a lot of scammers and lowball offers. Two important rules when selling locally:

  • Cash only
  • Local pickup only

If possible, meet the buyer at a location where you can do a quick flight test. I never let buyers come to my house—I always meet in a public spot.

You might want to check out the classified section on mavicpilots.com. That’s where I bought my Mavic 2 Zoom a few years ago for around $750.

Thanks, I’ll take a look.
