I’ve got the 3-way charging hub with 3 batteries, and I need a power bank to keep them charged when I’m out filming on a camping trip. It also needs to be something I can take through airport security when traveling abroad.
Most airports have a 100Wh limit, which is about 27,000mAh at 3.7V. Some places allow more, but it depends on the country.
Also, keep in mind that charging speed matters. The Mini 4 Pro batteries can take up to 30W at 12V, which means about an hour per battery. Many power banks charge slower than that.
DJI recommends a 30W charger for the hub, though in theory, it can take up to 36W (12V at 3A).
Each battery is either 2,590mAh (standard) or 3,850mAh (Plus version). Since you have three, you’d need at least 11,550mAh for a full charge. A 20,000mAh power bank should give you enough for about five full charges, but don’t forget your controller.
RC2 controller needs an extra 6200mAh (3100mAh x2).
RC-N2 needs around 2,600mAh, but its 6-hour battery life should be enough for most trips.
If you’re just using the power bank for your drone, you don’t need to spend extra on one with super-fast charging—anything over 36W won’t really make a difference.
I haven’t used this one personally, but the brand has solid quality and customer support. It’s on sale right now on Amazon:
