Can anyone help figure out what’s wrong with my battery?

So I’ve had this battery stored away for a few years without using it. Now I’m not sure if it’s completely fried or if there’s still a way to revive it. Any thoughts?

That battery is likely dead… when they’re stored too long, the voltage can drop too low, and it just won’t charge anymore. You could try jump-starting it to get the charger working, but it’s risky… it might puff up into a ‘spicy pillow’ as we call it!

Check out some YouTube tutorials on reviving DJI batteries! I had the same issue with my Mavic 2 Zoom battery. I found a $7 circuit board that lets you reset the battery firmware through a USB connection, and it worked for me.

Honestly, I wouldn’t trust that battery, even if you manage to get it to charge again. Lithium-ion batteries aren’t meant to sit unused for years.

Sounds like it could be dead. There’s a way to jump-start it though—just look up a tutorial. But be cautious with this method!

Maybe try reaching out to DJI? They might still be able to help.

I think that battery model’s been out of production since 2017, so not sure if they’d still offer support for it.

It’s done for, mate.

You can try to bring it back, but you have to be super careful. There’s always a risk of messing it up, so I’d only suggest it if you’re comfortable with basic electronics and aware of how dangerous lithium batteries can be.
