In a little rain, your drone WILL fly just fine, but be aware that it will be drawing a fine mist into itself through the cooling vents the entire time. There will probably be corrosion and other negative things in the days and weeks to come. It will eventually signal the end—hopefully not too soon.

The drones lack an official water resistance rating and have minimal waterproofing, with some of the electronics being conformal coated. This allows them to operate in light rain or fog conditions.

Yes, drones can fly in light rain, but it is generally not recommended to fly drones in the rain, most consumer drones are not designed to withstand heavy rain or water exposure, rain water can damage the electronics, motors, and other sensitive components of the drone. Moreover, water on the lens or sensors can affect the camera quality and hinder the drone’s ability to navigate accurately. If you absolutely need to fly a drone in rainy conditions, you should ensure it is waterproof or water-resistant as per the manufacturer’s specifications. Even then, it is crucial to exercise caution and avoid flying in heavy rain or stormy weather to prevent potential damage and ensure safe operation.
