I crashed my Eachine Wizard V2, and one of the motors got damaged. The magnet on it is loose and has a little damage. Is it possible to glue it back in place, or do I need to replace the whole motor casing?
If I replace the motor, can I just get one, or will I need to swap out all four? The motor’s label says ‘Eachine CCW 2207-2550KV’.
You’re better off getting a new motor. Gluing the magnets is tricky, and even if you could, the magnet’s polarity has to match perfectly. It’s almost impossible to find a match. So yeah, a new motor is the way to go.
You can try gluing it and testing it without props, but honestly, the chance it works is really low. Motors are very precise, and if the magnet is even slightly off, it could throw everything out of balance. Your safest bet is to replace the motor.
The good thing is you don’t need to replace all four, but it’s a smart idea to buy a pack of four so you have spares. With the potential shortage of parts from China, having extras could save you time later.
@Blakeley
Yeah, I’ll probably just get a set of four and keep the extras as backups. And thanks for the heads-up about the shortage—I didn’t know that!

It’s not super bad yet, but with the tariffs and stuff, a lot of people are stocking up, so parts might get harder to find soon.
Once the magnet breaks, it’s no longer the same as before. It’s now two magnets with slightly different grain directions. Even if the motor still works, it could cause vibrations or stuttering, which might affect how stable your drone flies.
@Uma
Yeah, I noticed when I tried fitting it back, it wouldn’t stay in place properly. I’ll replace it and maybe use the damaged one for some other DIY project.
