Can I fly my DJI Neo in the EU with these certifications?

I want to fly my DJI Neo in the EU, but I’m not from there. Are the certifications I have enough to let me fly legally? I attached a picture for reference. Let me know what else I might need.

Don’t forget you’ll need insurance! Cover Drone (a UK company) offers EU coverage for different time frames like monthly or yearly.

Can you give a source for that? That’s not the case in Sweden.

@Perrin
Which part isn’t true? Needing liability insurance?

Yes, liability insurance.

The person who posted this shared French documentation. I gave them a law that applies in France.

@Verne
But they also mentioned ‘EU’ in general, not just France.

It’s not required everywhere. For example, it’s not mandatory in France.

I have travel insurance through Zurich, and it includes personal liability. Does that count?

@Sam
Does it specifically cover drones? And are you flying only in Zurich? Think of it like driving a car—you need specific liability coverage to fly legally.

In France, you also have to attach your UAS registration number to the drone.

I think that rule applies across Europe. These categories and requirements come from EU regulations.

@Perry
You’d think so, but it’s not that simple. EASA sets the rules, but each country interprets them differently. It can vary a lot.

Insurance isn’t required in the UK, but most EU countries need third-party liability coverage for drones under 20kg. Check here for more info: Drone insurance - What should you consider when getting drone insurance? | EASA.

Yes, your certifications should be enough. But make sure you have insurance if it’s required in the country you’re flying in. For France, insurance is needed for drones over 900g.

If you’re heading to France, be careful. Almost every urban area, including small villages, is a no-fly zone. If you see houses around, you’re probably in a restricted area.
