So I just crashed my drone… The drone itself is fine, but the gimbal got completely ripped off. If I buy a replacement gimbal and camera from eBay, would I be able to install it myself without needing DJI to program anything? Thanks!
I don’t think so. You need these small c-clamp press tools to disassemble the gimbal. I’ve seen them on Temu or AliExpress, but I’ve also heard that the gimbal might be hardware-locked to the drone. Not 100% sure on that, though.

I can handle the clamps, I’m just worried DJI requires some special programming for it to work.

Pretty sure you can calibrate the gimbal in the DJI app after replacing it.
