Can someone really use a drone jammer?

Maybe you should stop worrying about what your neighbor is doing and find something better to do.

The construction has stopped, and the property is under review by the city. They might have to undo everything they’ve done.

I live in Northern California, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s military interference. There’s been a lot of training going on.

You know it might be illegal to film your neighbor without permission, right?

That’s a bit of an exaggeration.

Did you check the B4UFLY app before flying?

Yeah, no restrictions that day.

This whole thread is kind of pathetic. You’re upset about your neighbor enjoying his land? Drones should be treated as a privilege, and you sound like a neighborhood snitch.

Not really my problem anymore. The illegal stuff has stopped, and the property is under review. The drone pilot I hired was licensed and stayed within legal limits.

@Reagan
I still think you’re in the wrong. You’ve complained enough about this.

If someone turned your neighborhood into a race track, you’d probably feel the same. We don’t live in HOA territory, but we all work together to keep things peaceful.

It’s probably not a jammer, more likely solar interference. But if someone had a jammer strong enough to mess with an area, I’d move out fast.

You can buy a decent jammer for a couple hundred bucks online.

You could get a spectrum analyzer and find out for sure.

Got any recommendations?

Oops, my bad!

Have you tried flying in a different area to see if it happens there too?

Not yet. I like flying on my property because I know it’s legal.

Almost all devices have to follow FCC regulations, and a jammer would be illegal. The FCC can track them down and issue hefty fines.

It’d be hard to jam a drone without causing noticeable Wi-Fi issues too.
