Can someone really use a drone jammer?

I keep losing control of my drone near my neighbor’s property. Could it be a drone jammer? Anyone had similar experiences?

It could be something else like solar flares. There’s a lot of sunspot activity right now, and that can mess with signals. More likely than your neighbor having a drone jammer.

Have you tried flying somewhere else? If it keeps happening, then it’s not your neighbor.

@Zeke
Yeah, just test it out. Science, right?

Exactly, test it and see what happens. That’s how we figure stuff out. Gotta love science.

The person who posted this will probably ignore that idea because it’s easier to blame the neighbor for having ‘drone jamming skills’ along with all his other ‘illegal off-road track’ skills. It’s probably something simpler.

@Vero
If it’s really a jammer, you can report it to the authorities. They don’t mess around with illegal jammers.

Yeah, sure, report it. The authorities will totally drop everything and rush over… not.

I deal with these agencies for work, and they have more pressing issues. Besides, it’s much more likely that solar activity is messing up signals than your neighbor having a high-tech jammer. Think logically here.

@Vero
You really think a solar flare from miles away is messing with your drone? That seems way more far-fetched than a neighbor trying to mess with signals.

@Vero
You can buy jammers online, though. They’re not that hard to get.

My friend once got a cell phone jammer, and we’d watch people freak out when their calls dropped. You can definitely get stuff like that.

@Zen
Well, your buddy’s probably on some kind of watchlist now.

Eh, we’ve been on lists since birth. Bring it on.

It’s lists on lists. Never-ending lists.

@Zen
Yeah, because people totally watch porn in public places… sure.

Well, maybe where you live people don’t do trashy stuff. Must be nice.

Where exactly are you in rural California? Some military operations might mess with your drone. Also, if your neighbor is using a jammer, you’d need some kind of device to detect it, like a spectrum analyzer.

@Alden
The only place I know of where they actively jam signals in California is Fort Irwin. It’s out in the middle of nowhere.

I can confirm. I used to run jammers there, but not for drones.
