Hey everyone, I found a busted drone on top of my university building, and someone who works there handed it over to me because I’m into this stuff. No remote, no headset, just the drone. I’m wondering if it’s even worth trying to fix. Any advice?
What do you honestly think? Does it look like it’s fixable to you?

I really don’t know. That’s why I’m asking here.

Honestly, it’s cool you asked, but I don’t think it’s fixable. Might be better as a shelf decoration.
@Dru
If I can’t fix it, what else could I do with it?

Man, it might be time to look for a new one if you’re serious about flying.

You could try taking it to a repair shop. I had a mini drone that couldn’t be fixed, so I replaced it for around 90 euros. Worth looking into, maybe?
It’s probably worth a try. You could replace the props and maybe try using super glue on the broken parts. Be careful not to get any glue on the circuit board since it can mess things up. Use a matchstick or something small to apply just a tiny bit. If it works, it’ll probably still be weaker and could break again if it crashes.
@Vance
Thanks for the real reply! Just for context, this drone isn’t actually mine. It crashed and was left on a university building, and I was lucky someone thought I’d like it because I’ve been wanting a drone for a while. I might end up just keeping it as a cool display piece, but my dad’s pretty handy, so I’ll see what he thinks!
Nah, doesn’t look like it’s gonna make it lol
That thing’s toast
Check out cloudcitydrones.com for parts. Looks like you’ll need both left arms and maybe a new frame. I’ve patched mine up a few times, it’s not easy but possible. But since it’s not yours, you’ll probably need to unbind it from the original owner if you want to get it working again.
@Jai
Yeah, that sounds like a lot… might just leave it as a display piece then.
If you know how to solder, it could be possible! Hard to tell what brand it is, but if it’s DJI, there are a lot of parts on places like AliExpress. I managed to fix my kid’s drone’s broken prop arm with some patience and a steady hand. If you’re up for it, give it a shot.
