I live nearby. You can fly there, but you need permission because of the winds. Hikers have found drones that crashed and brought them down to the trailhead for the owners to collect later.
Cool… still gonna fly anyway
This is why you need a regular camera for those places where you can’t fly your drone.
Free drone parts for anyone who hikes that trail!
It’s becoming impossible to fly anywhere legally. Everything needs a permit now, and it’s getting too expensive for hobbyists. When I started, I had a Mini 3 Pro and followed all the rules, but now there are more restrictions everywhere. I wish people would follow the rules and fly respectfully so we wouldn’t have these new bans. But I guess it’s easy to buy these drones without any real education on the rules.
@Zola
It’s not about education, really. Some people are just inconsiderate, no matter what they’re doing. They don’t care about others. A course won’t change that. It sucks that responsible people are being punished for the actions of a few idiots.
Why is it so hard to get permission?
How do you guys track where you can and can’t fly? Anything besides the DJI app?

It’s pretty simple… if it’s a cool spot where you’d want to fly, it’s probably banned

There are maps for every country showing no-fly zones and local rules. Just search online.
What happens if someone flies an Inspire 3 in one of these places?
Flying in a forbidden area? Extra points if you pull it off!
Well, I guess I’m not going there then… I’ll spend my money somewhere else.
Nett Hier (Nice here)
European regulations are ridiculous.
