[DJI Avata 2] What does holding the battery button do?

I recently bought the Avata 2 and was charging it on the battery dock. Halfway through, I pulled out the battery and held the power button. I noticed that tapping it shows the current battery level, but holding it seems to reset it to 4, which was odd. What is the purpose of holding the power button on the battery?

Do you mean the battery LEDs start blinking in sequence? If so, that’s actually trying to trigger the linking mode.

It’s when you try to pair the drone to a new controller.

@Shai
Ah, got it! Thank you!

Fun fact: the battery acts as an input source for the drone. It helps trigger the power on/off and linking modes. You can actually power up the battery without installing it in the drone, just like you would power on the drone.
