Hey all, my Mini 4 Pro just came back from inspection after I crashed it. DJI quoted me £45 to fix it, or £62 to get a full replacement (with a new battery) using my Care Refresh plan.
What I’m wondering is—does the Care Refresh price or fee go up after I make a claim, kind of like how car insurance works?
Nope, the cost of DJI Care Refresh doesn’t increase after a claim. You just pay once for the whole year (or two years depending on your plan), and it stays the same for everyone. When your plan is up, you can renew it at the same fixed price if DJI offers renewal. Your claim history doesn’t affect the price.
Since you’re only looking at a £17 difference, I’d go with the repair to save the replacement for something bigger later. Honestly, they sometimes send out a refurbished drone even for repairs anyway.
@Sky
That helps a lot, thanks. I’ve only had the drone for 8 months and haven’t flown much — maybe 20 flights total across 3 batteries. So do you think it’s smarter to just fix it instead of using the Care Refresh?
