DJI Drone ban nears

The US Senate is set to discuss a significant legislative proposal that could impact your access to and use of DJI drones. Dubbed the “Countering CCP Drones Act” (HR 2684), this bill seeks to prohibit the introduction of new DJI products into the US market.

Included in the draft of the FY 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by the US House of Representatives Armed Services Committee, the bill is scheduled for consideration by a Senate Committee on June 12.

If passed, the legislation could have wide-ranging consequences, potentially leading to the retroactive withdrawal of existing Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approvals for DJI. Consequently, drones already in your possession and currently in use, regardless of whether for business or recreational purposes, may face grounding.
