DJI MIC MINI OR MIC 2: Which one should I get for windy outdoor videos?

Hey everyone,
I work as a mortgage adviser and make a lot of educational videos and property tours. Sometimes, I’m outside, and it gets really windy.

I’m thinking of getting a wireless mic but can’t afford the Rode mic. I’m considering:

  • DJI Mic Mini (1tx 1rx) on sale for $75
  • DJI Mic 2 (1tx) for $106

If I’m using my iPhone to record, do I need the receiver (rx) if I get the DJI Mic 2?

I’m looking for something that performs well in wind and don’t need long battery life. Please help! This will be my first wireless mic, so I’m a bit unsure. Thanks a lot!

Actually, if you can find the DJI Mic 1, I think that might be a better fit for your needs.

Do I need the receiver (rx) too, or is just the transmitter (tx) enough?

Which iPhone are you using? I’ve seen multiple cases where the DJI Mics don’t work well with certain iPhones. I don’t own one, so I can’t say from personal experience, but it’s something to keep in mind.
