The 120m limit applies to C0-class drones in the EU. I’ve flown mine way higher.

How did you do that? Just by changing the settings?

In the EU, you have to prove to DJI that you’ve converted your drone to a C1 classification. After that, DJI treats it as a C1 drone and lets you fly up to 500m AGL.
@Jay
But wouldn’t the EU/local laws still consider it a C0 drone? It doesn’t actually change in weight or hardware, right?

Once labeled as C1, it’s legally a C1 drone. But if you switch the label back to C0 and still fly above 120m, you’d be breaking the law. Converting it is only really useful if you’re flying in the mountains.
@Jay
Got it, thanks for the info!
In France, you can still set it to 500m in the settings. So I assume it’s the same in other countries.
