Honestly, you shouldn’t be biking and operating a drone at the same time, even with the beacon. It doesn’t change the FAA’s rules about staying ready to take control if needed.
I keep my RC on my handlebars, so I’m ready to take over anytime.
If I have a beacon with buttons for Return-To-Home, angle control, and voice commands, I’d actually argue it’s even quicker than grabbing the RC.
To be honest, I think I’m being safe enough. Worst case, the drone loses me and hovers while I catch up. This beacon should make that way less likely.

Just hope everything goes smoothly if something goes wrong.
We all have our ways of flying, I guess.
I’m trusting the tracking software and, now, the hardware to do its job.
I know I’m flying within the rules, taking the necessary precautions, and I’m not worried about what-ifs. Plus, no point in debating how a leaked gadget will work when no one has tried it yet!
@Harley
The Neo is still more of a budget drone. They’re not going to put these features on the lower-end models. Definitely more likely to see it on the Mavic 4 Pro.

Yeah, but adding it to the Neo could boost sales. I’d probably grab one along with a Mini 5 Pro when it drops.

Would make sense for the Neo, but you’re probably right. $200 just for the drone without the controller isn’t exactly low-budget, especially compared to the Avata 2’s $300 price tag without goggles and controllers.
