Just noticed repair prices have gone way up—some parts are 4x what they used to be. Repairs definitely aren’t as affordable as they were before. Anyone else running into this?
I think this might be a US-only issue.

Could be. Yeah, I’m in the US—I should’ve mentioned that from the start.
This really messes things up for folks who buy broken drones, fix them up with DJI, and resell for profit.

It’s rough for those of us using drones for work too—especially if your drone’s not covered by DJI Care anymore.
@Jody
Do you think DJI might be charging more if they figure out someone’s using the repairs for business? Would be interesting to see what others are paying versus this poster.
I haven’t used their repair service myself, but it’d be helpful if more people shared their costs.

I’m seeing the same price jumps. Been back and forth with DJI and they say it’s because of tariffs:
Yeah but that link’s for a different part, right? I’m still wondering if anyone replaced the same part on the same drone. The only people I’ve seen with these price hikes were buying broken drones, getting them fixed, and flipping them on eBay.
I’m curious if normal users are also noticing a price jump, or if DJI is just adjusting for resellers.

It’s not just business users—it hits regular people too. Most repairs are from everyday customers, and this affects all of us.
What bugs me most is how they did it quietly. No heads-up, no announcement.
(And just to clear things up, I don’t flip drones anymore. That was just something I did during school to earn a bit. No time for it now with classes.)
@Dru
Are you sending all your repair requests through the same name and account?

I’m dealing with the same price jump too:
Honestly, at that rate I’d just sell it in its current state and buy a new one.
@Dru
They just offered me 60% off now. Still not cheap, but better than before.

60% off definitely helps, though it’s still pricey—especially when the issue wasn’t your fault.
That’s basically what repairs used to cost before all this. So yeah, I’d take that discount just for the convenience.
@Dru
That’s a lot better. Still kicking myself, though. My warranty ran out just two weeks before I found the issue. Would’ve been covered otherwise. But glad you at least got a decent price.
Now you know what it’s like for folks in poorer countries.

Funny thing is, it’s actually cheaper now to fix stuff in those places. You can order parts from AliExpress without any extra fees and just fix it yourself.
Honestly glad I stocked up on parts before all these price changes kicked in.
