So my drone crash and was damaged. After sending the drone over, they quoted $477 for repairs. I expected free replacement but hey, 477 is decent and I shouldnt be ungrateful.
My question is has anyone had success getting discount? Tips and tricks? Or should I simply pay for service and get it done with
If you had DJI Care or the issue was clearly not your fault, you might get a discount. That’s been my experience. Otherwise, they’ll probably charge full price.
Which drone is this. And yes dji has massively upped repair prices, for reference, an arm replacement, used to be, $24
Now, $100+
For reference, that whole quote, which you just got, would have been sub $200 less than a Year ago

If it were me, I’d still pay it. But yeah… doesn’t feel as good as it used to.
Before, DJI repairs felt like a great deal—you got good service for a fair price. Now it just feels like something you have to do. Not exactly overpriced, just not something that leaves you smiling either.

It’s a mavic 3 based on the pricing. And they kinda screwed him/most costumers lately by 4x the prices of most parts

Yeah, it’s not just about tariffs. One of DJI’s biggest markets is being run by someone unpredictable, and that kind of uncertainty messes up everything.
