Do I need to remove ND filter every time I store my Avata 2? Gimbal cover pressing on it

I’ve been using the DJI Avata 2 with ND filters. Does anyone else leave the filter on when putting the gimbal cover back on? I really don’t want to keep attaching and removing the filters each time I fly since I mainly film during the day with an ND16 or ND32. It feels a bit unnecessary to take the filter off just to store the drone. These K&F filters were advertised as being able to stay on with the gimbal cover, and they do fit, but I’ve noticed that the cover presses against the gimbal, pushing it back into the drone’s body by a couple of millimeters. Is it okay for the gimbal to constantly be under pressure like this, or should I remove the filter every time to be safe?

Return the filters and buy ones that fit.

They do fit on the drone fine, but the wide design is similar to the official DJI filters, so the gimbal protector presses on them as well. I spoke to DJI support, and they said even the official DJI filters won’t fit with the gimbal protector on, and they recommend removing them each time. It’s a weird design flaw in my opinion.

I have the same issue! Is it okay to have pressure on the gimbal every time I attach and remove the filters?

I think a little pressure while putting the filters on or off is fine because we need to handle the gimbal a bit. But I’m worried that constant pressure from the gimbal cover might weaken the mechanism or cause the plastic to deform over time.

Hope DJI sees this thread.

Not sure, I never had this issue with my Avata 2. Maybe try pointing the gimbal all the way down and see if that helps? I think that worked for me before.
