Does DJI Care cover a drone lost in a waterfall? Flyaway situation?

Does anyone know if DJI Care would cover a drone lost in a waterfall? Would it be considered a flyaway? Has this happened to anyone?

Hey there! Yes, DJI Care Refresh covers water damage, user error, signal interference, collisions, and drops. Just let me know if you have more questions.

Can I get Care Refresh if I buy from Best Buy online in the US?

@Shane
Yes, you’ll see the option to add it when you first start up the drone.

Thanks! So, if it’s lost in a waterfall, is that considered a flyaway?

@Marin
Just file a claim and see. If you have coverage, it usually applies to most situations.

@Marin
Flyaway just means you’ve lost the drone and don’t have it to send in. So yeah, if it’s lost in the waterfall, it’s a flyaway.

If you still have the drone, it’s not a flyaway. If you don’t have it, it’s a flyaway.

Exactly, it’s that simple, haha.

Yeah, kind of like when people post pics asking, ‘Can this be sent in for Care Refresh?’ Like, yes, it’s a replacement service. Anything can be replaced.
