I love my Pocket 3, but I do a lot of walking tour videos, and even with tilt lock, the lens doesn’t stay where I want it. The camera keeps drifting left or right after I turn, and it won’t recenter. Is there a way to lock the camera so it always stays pointing forward, kind of like a GoPro?
You can press and hold the joystick to lock the gimbal. You can also try using tracking mode. Just double tap on the screen where you want it to stay focused, and it will show a green box for tracking.
@Olin
But I’m doing walking videos, there’s no subject to track. How would that work?

It doesn’t matter if there’s no subject.

So you’re saying I should turn on subject tracking, even if there’s nothing specific in the frame?
@Vale
Yeah, just tap the screen.
That turns on tracking, but how does that lock the camera?

It’ll stay focused on whatever you pick, so it won’t drift.
@Olin
I get that, but since I’m walking and filming, there are constantly things coming in and out of the frame. Locking onto one thing doesn’t seem to be what I need.

Gotcha. What you’re describing sounds more like tilt lock. It stops up and down movement, but it still allows the camera to pan left or right, which seems to be your issue. To fully lock the gimbal with no movement at all, press the joystick down and ignore the follow, tilt, and FPV modes. Forget about auto-tracking.
