Does the RC231 controller work with DJI Neo?

I have a DJI Mini 2 SE and I’m curious if I can use its controller with the DJI Neo to save some money. Has anyone tried this out?

Hey! Thanks for asking. The DJI Neo uses O4 technology, while the RC-N1 was made earlier with older transmission technology. O4 is the latest, with improvements in signal range and stability, especially in tough environments. We’re always looking to improve compatibility, so we’ll pass on your feedback to the team for review. Be sure to check our official site for updates!

So is it compatible or not? I found this page and just want to confirm. Aircraft Accessory Compatibility

Hi again! No, DJI Neo isn’t compatible with the RC-N1 right now. We’re collecting feedback like yours to improve compatibility in the future. Keep an eye on our official website for updates!

I think the page you mentioned actually lists which controllers the Neo is compatible with, right?

One more thing: can I just buy the VR headset and motion controller to control a DJI Neo, or do I still need the regular RC controller?

You can use just the VR headset and motion controller. No need for the regular RC controller.

To control the DJI Neo, you can use one of these combos:

  1. DJI Neo + DJI Goggles 3 / DJI Goggles N3 + DJI RC Motion 3
  2. DJI Neo + DJI Goggles 3 / DJI Goggles N3 + DJI FPV Remote Controller 3

If you’re considering third-party VR headsets, we can’t confirm compatibility and don’t recommend using them. If something goes wrong with third-party products, it could void your warranty.
