Looks like he’ll just laugh off the fine.

I’m more amused at the thought of him doing community service with a rough crowd.

Imagine him actually completing the full 150 hours.

People I know have gotten out of community service easily. He probably won’t even serve it.
The $65k fine is like pocket change for him.
Just goes to show, having money doesn’t mean you have good judgment. He’s co-founded one of the most successful game franchises, yet thought flying a drone near active wildfires was a good idea.

Rules don’t apply to the wealthy. They just pay a fine and keep doing whatever they want.
Their defense about the geozones not working is ridiculous. Geozones don’t cover temporary flight restrictions, and they don’t prevent flights anymore.
The $65k fine doesn’t sound like much to someone like him.
He’ll probably pay the fine and move on.
Maybe Call of Duty prices will go up to cover his fine.
Honestly, the punishment was way too light. He should’ve gotten a harsher fine and more restrictions on drone usage. Someone could’ve died.
Does this count as a kill streak?
At least he’s getting publicly called out. Hopefully that makes him think twice next time.
Seems like everyone’s upset about the punishment. They should have done more to deter this kind of reckless behavior.
He’ll just pay the fine and move on. No real consequences for him.
It’s hard to take drone regulations seriously when someone can cause this kind of damage and face such a light penalty.
He can probably just convert his community service into a monetary fine.
Didn’t this sub already point fingers at another photographer for this incident? The story keeps changing.
