Hey guys, from what I understand, I need to put the top sticker on my drone when flying in the EU. But is the bottom one necessary? Since it’s just on the propeller holder.
Thanks!!
Nope, the bottom sticker isn’t necessary.

Got it, thanks!
Not sure if you’re just asking about these specific stickers or general requirements in Germany/Austria, but just in case—
- In Germany, any drone must have liability insurance, whether for hobby or work. It’s a separate policy and costs around €10–20 per year.
- If your drone has a camera or any sensor that collects data, you need to register it online: https://uas-registration.lba-openuav.de/#/registration/uasOperator
- The registration number should be on the drone—usually with a separate sticker. Something like this: https://shop.drohnen.de/eu-drohnen-plakette/

Thanks for the info!
Do you have any recommendations for insurance as a non-EU resident? I see a lot of options, but not sure which one to pick.

Good question. I used a comparison site to find mine. Look specifically for UAV insurance—it’s similar to personal liability insurance but separate. Mine covers up to €10M for drones under 250g, so if I get a Mavic, I’ll need a new policy.
Looks like you have a Mini 4 Pro? If so, your drone should already have a sticker showing it’s classified as C0. You only need the sticker you’re asking about if you want to fly it under C1 rules.

I’ve got a mini 4 pro
Doesn’t class 0 = no camera? But mini 4 pro has a camera/sensors…
The EU is just known for having way too many rules. They’re obsessed with control—no fun flying drones there.
