I went from the original Mavic Mini to this one and I’m excited to get it in the air soon. Anyone got tips for accessories or anything I should know before flying?
Try aftermarket fast chargers. I’ve got two that charge up to 200 watts. You can do 100 watts for one battery, or split it across two or three batteries at once.
The charger has a screen that shows battery info and can run off USB power banks. So I grabbed two of those, four batteries, four big power banks, and some fast chargers for the banks.
Also recommend getting a good backpack to carry it all if you’re going out for a day trip.

What kind of backpack would you go for? How is it better than the shoulder bag that comes with the Fly More Combo?

I really like mine. It holds the drone, controller, batteries, and some camera gear too. It’s water resistant which is handy if the weather turns. I got it here: Amazon.com : NOMATIC McKinnon Camera Sling 5L: Compact Camera Bag for Photographers with Quick Access, Secure Gear Storage, Lightweight Crossbody Design & External Straps for Easy Tripod Attachment : Electronics

I thought DJI said 30W chargers are the official recommendation?
I use the soft case when I travel, but my M4P stays in a strong hard case. I just toss it in the back of my car without worrying if it’ll get knocked around. It fits all my drone stuff perfectly.
I skipped the DJI case and got one from Amazon that’s precision cut for around $40. Don’t forget to renew your care refresh when the time comes. It’s definitely worth it.
I got the Mini 4 Pro a few weeks ago… then yesterday I went ahead and bought an Avata 2. I think I’ve got a bit of a problem
I’ve been thinking about it too, but since I’m still using the 2020 Mavic Mini I might just wait for the Mini 5 Pro. Hopefully those US tariffs don’t wreck my wallet.

Yeah… they probably will.

That’s why I ended up buying now—I was stressing about the tariffs too. It’s cool seeing other folks still flying the original Mavic Mini like me. For something that came out almost 6 years ago, it still does a solid job in 2025.

Yeah I took it on a hike today and the photos still look pretty good, especially for how old it is.
