First time editing my photos... how’d I do? Be honest!

Nice photos! I’d recommend adjusting the white balance since they look a bit too yellow, and maybe increase the exposure and contrast a bit. A touch more sharpening could help too, but you’re off to a great start!

Agreed, making them a bit cooler would help. Even if you’re going for a fall vibe, it’s a bit too warm right now.

@Hollis
I was thinking the same! Boosting the whites a little could make those colors pop and add depth.

Not bad at all! I’d pump up the vibrance and contrast a bit more to really make those fall colors pop. Just curious, is this taken in New England?

Thanks for the feedback! It’s actually North Carolina.

@Pacey
Thought it looked like NC! I’m in Wake County with similar scenery—just got my Mini 4 Pro and loving it.

Try using the rule of thirds for composition; it makes photos more engaging. Also, look for natural lines like roads, streams, or tree lines to guide the viewer’s eye through the picture. It adds a nice flow to the photo!

It’s all personal taste, but to me, they look a bit low in contrast.

Nice work on these! My only suggestion would be fixing the white balance since they look slightly yellowish. Maybe boost the exposure and contrast just a bit, and you’re good to go!

Did you adjust the overall saturation to get those bright yellows? If so, try not to bump up saturation for everything. Instead, just increase saturation and brightness for yellow only while keeping other colors neutral.

Or, if you only adjusted the temperature, that’s not ideal either. Better to use global settings like exposure, white balance, and temp to get a neutral base shot. Then, use masks and selective tools to create the look you want.

More edits aren’t always better! They seem a little hazy too—maybe try dehaze and sharpening.

Next time, try shooting in AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) and blend them afterward. It’s great for capturing more detail!

I really like the middle pic! But the first and last ones don’t stand out as much—might be okay to skip those in edits.

Are these shots from Mexico by chance?

Have you tried using Paint on Windows XP? Guaranteed results :joy:

Were these taken in Mexico?
