Flying a drone in the cold… anyone else feel numb?

Tried out the DJI Mini 2 SE in freezing weather. My fingers still feel like ice.

Those hills look familiar. Where is this?

I was scrolling and saw this. Knew it had to be SW VA. Not disappointed! I was out in the NRV last week testing my new Neo… fingers were freezing too.

Looks awesome!

I feel you. My hands go numb as soon as it gets close to freezing.

How high were you flying? Looks pretty cold up there.

About 110 meters, but the takeoff point was already on high ground.

Did you notice any icing? That’s what I always worry about when flying in freezing temps.

@Dru
No icing so far. I went through 5 batteries today. Warming up the drone and batteries between flights seems to work fine even below 10°F.

I’ve flown at -40°F, so 0°C? That’s nothing.

Good for you! My brain doesn’t store the same tolerance levels as yours does.
