Found a crack on my drone. Should I keep using it?

I’ve been flying my Air 2S for a long time, and I just noticed a crack. I live in Papua New Guinea, and getting it repaired is tough since I’d have to ship it to Australia.

Should I risk using it for my jobs until I can get a replacement or a proper fix? Any advice is appreciated.

Superglue might do the trick.

ABS slurry could work too.

JB Weld should hold it together.

If nukes hit, all that will be left is that chunk of drone covered in JB Weld.

Good stuff.

If it flies, it flies—AoG (Airworthy on Ground).

Since it’s the body and not the arm, you should be fine. Some superglue with fiberglass tape should hold it for now. The real repair isn’t too hard, just time-consuming—lots of parts to remove and reinstall if you swap the shell.

Mine cracked in the same spot on both sides. I flew it for a while without issues since that area doesn’t seem to impact flight.

I found a replacement midbody on eBay and plan to install it soon.

Thanks, everyone, for the advice. This drone is my bread and butter, so I was really worried. Appreciate it.

You could sell it to that guy who opens the door for everyone at the local 7-Eleven.
