I took this using the 3x lens. I’m not completely happy with the colors, but it was my first flight, and it only saved in JPG format. I’ve still got a lot to learn, but this drone feels like a solid upgrade.
You should shoot in RAW+JPEG mode. That way, you can edit the RAW files and get the most out of your shots. Nice pic, by the way!

Thanks! I usually do shoot in RAW, just forgot to enable it for my first flight. I’m definitely looking forward to experimenting more.
@Shea
No worries, we’ve all been there. It’s always good to do some test flights before diving into serious shoots.
That looks super sharp. Great shot!
Nice picture!
Awesome shot! How does the free pano feature work, exactly?

It’s pretty straightforward. It shows an augmented reality overlay on your screen where you pick the top-left and bottom-right corners of your pano. Then, it gives you a live preview, and you just hit ‘Start’ to capture it.
Does this look different after you upload to this forum, or is this how it comes straight from the camera?

There’s definitely some compression going on after uploading. Plus, this was the straight-out-of-camera JPEG, so it’s a bit sharpened already. I was too eager on my first flight and didn’t think to enable RAW mode for the pano.
Is free pano different from the pano mode on the Air 2S?

Yeah, kind of. With free pano, you can select the top-left and bottom-right areas you want to capture, and then you’ll see a live preview of the whole panorama as you go. It’s pretty cool.
Is your YouTube channel Billy Kyle? If not, he usually does his drone tests right where you took this shot!

Haha, I was waiting for someone to say that. No, I’m not Billy, but I do live near him. I might’ve borrowed his ‘first flight’ spot for this one.
