I’ve had my DJI Neo since it launched, and it’s been amazing for all my adventures. It’s my third DJI drone. But today, while flying in a snowy field, I set it to follow mode, and it suddenly shot up 200-300 feet, zoomed away into the deep woods, and didn’t come back. It was snowing heavily, so I think the visual tracking got messed up or maybe it just got tired of being stuck in my smelly backpack. Either way, it’s gone. Guess it’s time to get a new one… and this time, I’m adding an AirTag.

What do you think happened? My guess is that snow or water on the camera blurred the view.

Yeah, it was snowing hard, so I think the camera got messed up.
It must’ve been tired of filming snowy trees with Lumineers music playing in the background.

Exactly! It was sick of me and my flannels with my dog. And hey, it’s not Lumineers, it’s Lord Huron. Still loved that drone though, it followed me on some wild mountain biking trails in Guatemala. I’ll definitely get another one.
