I picked up a Mavic 2 Pro with a DJI smart controller for just $100. It needs some work on three of the arms, but the camera is working fine. One thing I noticed is that the gimbal feels really loose. When I try to center it manually, it just moves back to the same position like in the picture. Even when the drone is powered on, it doesn’t seem to center itself. Is this normal?
When you turn it on, the gimbal should go through its startup calibration and end up pointing straight. If that’s not happening, something’s definitely wrong.
You threw away $100 and are about to waste more time trying to fix something that might never work right again. Probably better to cut your losses and get a newer drone in good shape.
If it’s powered on, the gimbal should definitely center itself. Can you move it with the controller at all?
Post a video so we can see what’s going on.
