Hey, I’ve been using my DJI drone for a while but I’m still not sure how to change to MasterShots mode. Anyone here know how to switch between the modes like Portrait and Landscape? I’m flying a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Thanks for any help!
All you gotta do is tap the shooting mode icon above the shutter button and then select ‘MasterShots.’ It’s super easy once you know where to look. You’ll see options for different modes like Portrait and Landscape after that.
@Jory
Got it, thanks! I’ll give that a try today. Does it auto-edit the footage too?

Yep, it does! The drone actually creates a whole cinematic sequence automatically and even edits the footage with some templates. It’s pretty slick.
If you’re doing Portrait mode, just make sure to select the target by tapping the ‘+’ on the camera view or manually draw a box around your subject. The drone will take care of the rest.

Oh, cool! So the drone can track people automatically in Portrait mode?
@Tatum
Exactly! It’ll zoom in/out, do circles, dronies, and more. It’s fun to watch it do all the work.
For Landscape mode, just tap ‘Start’ after selecting your target. The drone will figure out the right distance and trajectory automatically. It’s really smooth for getting those wide shots!
I always forget how to exit MasterShots! Just tap the ‘x’ on the screen or press the Flight Pause button on your controller, and the drone will stop and hover in place.

Lol, I did the same thing when I first tried it. I was panicking thinking my drone was stuck flying forever.
FYI, if you push the control stick while the drone is recording in MasterShots, it’ll stop the recording. Same if you fly into a restricted zone or trigger obstacle avoidance. Just a heads-up in case it happens to you!
@Huxley
Good to know, thanks for the tip! I’ll be careful when flying near restricted areas.
