You could use waypoints to move the gimbal smoothly between points.
Waypoints can be a bit clunky to set up, and the starts and stops aren’t always smooth. You’re better off practicing your finger movements.

Is waypoints an app?

No, it’s a feature in the DJI app. Usually used with drones that support waypoints, like the Mini 4 Pro.
@Sai
Thanks, but I’m talking about using the DJI RS4 Pro gimbal. Here’s what I’m trying to do: I’m walking straight, then halfway through, I turn left and start side-walking. When I turn, I want to smoothly tilt the gimbal joystick upward. It’s hard to get it perfectly synchronized with my movement. I’ve practiced a lot, but I’m still struggling. I’m actually planning to do this for a music video in a crosswalk, which adds to the challenge since there’s no specific point to focus on. Any advice would be appreciated.
You could try using the tracking feature in the app. It allows you to program movements based on timing, like having the gimbal stay in one spot for 5 seconds, then take 3 seconds to move to the next position, and so on.
This can work well for choreographed scenes where you can repeat the same motion. If you’re doing run-and-gun shooting, though, this probably won’t help much.
You can adjust the sticks in several ways. Some controllers have physical screws and might come with softer springs you can use. I like to keep the sticks loose. You should also look into adjusting the Expo settings, which make the middle of the stick movement less sensitive, so you can make bigger adjustments without sudden movements. When you push the stick all the way, it’ll still go at full speed. Try searching ‘how to find your perfect rates’ by Joshua Bardwell on YouTube.
@Sloane
Not sure why everyone thinks I’m talking about drones.
