Just wondering about the differences between the new DJI Flip and the Mini 4 Pro. I’ve seen people argue both sides, but is the Flip just a budget option, or does it hold its own? Curious to hear what others think, especially if you’ve used both!
I’d take the Mini 4 Pro any day. It’s smaller, better equipped, and has more advanced features.

That’s fair, but the Mini 4 is in a higher price bracket. The Flip is significantly cheaper.
What’s the Flip’s big selling point compared to the Mini? I’m second-guessing my Flip order after seeing these size comparisons.

The Flip’s main appeal is its autonomous flight mode. You can fly it without a controller, which is unique in this price range.
@Peyton
True, but the Mini 4 Pro has much better tracking features.
I don’t get the hate for the Flip. It’s got a unique design, and the integrated prop guards are useful for its weight class.

The prop guards actually have practical use if you’re flying commercially in the U.S. Drones under 249g with guards can qualify for waivers to fly over people, which can be handy in certain jobs.
The Flip’s design is… different. It looks like a gadget for a hamster to fly in.

If you’ve got guinea pigs and a 3D printer, you know what to do.
I didn’t expect the Mini 4 Pro to be so much more compact when folded. With its advanced features like obstacle avoidance and superior tracking, it feels worth the extra cost. The Flip seems more like a niche option for those who prioritize autonomous flight or don’t want to spend as much.
The Mini 4 Pro is clearly better, but not everyone wants to pay its higher price. The Flip offers solid value for its cost.
The Flip’s folding mechanism is neat, but otherwise, it looks like a prototype that somehow hit the shelves.
I like how easy it is to unfold the Flip, but the Mini 4 Pro still wins in almost every other category.
